What is Asthma/Allergic Bronchitis

Asthmatic bronchitis refers to cases of acute bronchitis in a person with asthma. Acute bronchitis is a respiratory disease that causes inflammation in the bronchi, the airways that enter and leave the lungs. Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes. These tubes in the lungs carry air to the lungs from the mouth and nose. Asthma is a disease that causes inflammation of the airways, leading to shortness of breath, persistent cough, chest tightness, and wheezing. When bronchitis and asthma occur together, and the symptoms persist, this condition is known as asthmatic bronchitis.

The symptoms and signs of asthma vary between people, depending on the severity of the disease. Treatment for asthmatic bronchitis includes antibiotics, bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory drugs, and lung hygiene techniques such as chest percussion (a treatment where the respirator is slow in the patient’s chest) and a rectum (treatment in which the patient is placed in a slightly opposed position to promote an expectation of sputum).

It is characterized by sneezing, shortness of breath, chest infection asthma, and wheezing.
